Up North

It was a long 5 days of vacation in late June, mainly due to the terrible weather we drove through to get there. Our already lengthy 9.5 hour ride turned into almost 15 hours due to the flooding that occured in Duluth. But once we made it to the northwoods of Minnesota, I made the best of our vacation and enjoyed whatever sun poked through the clouds. Our little guy had fun and enjoyed his experience at the lakeside resort. I, of course, spent the vacation chasing him around and taking photos…

yes, you’re seeing it correctly. he’s screaming… and scaring the fish away!

Happy Anniversary!

A year ago I married my best friend, an amazing father to our son and the most loving, supportive, easy going partner I could have imagined. We met at a gym {very fitting}, had our first date in May 2009 and fell in love quickly. Communication, trust, unconditional love, and humor have allowed us to live each day happily together.

Here’s some of my favorite moments from our wedding day 7-9-11

This&That

Although the weather was sometimes rainy and quite unpredictable, we did enjoy what beautiful weather we had while on vacation. Up there in the northwoods, it seems as though you either fish or you fish. Fortunately for us, we had rented a pontoon and had access to a beach. Here’s a few of my favorite shots from our days at the lakefront…

a very sleepy baby after a boatride at dusk…

The sunsets on the lake were gorgeous and I was able to capture some serene moments. I look forward to posting more pictures from our vacation to the northwoods…
