This&That

This weekend is Mother’s Day, followed by my birthday on Monday. After a Saturday morning at work, I have the rest of the weekend + Monday to enjoy at home. The weather has finally gone from ‘still a little too cool’ to ‘its almost summer, yay!’ I look forward to a relaxing weekend and the little things that say Summer is coming…

twist cone popsicles forms… my little one will love holding his ‘ice cream cone’ shaped popsicle as it melts all over the place… *sigh, i know that will make quite a mess*

This&That

I pay a lot of attention to the little things in life that bring me genuine joy. I’m a happy, optimistic person but there’s always something each day that brings an extra smile to my face. Here’s a few things from this week that had “smile” written all over them.

my husband took me on a date last weekend and we enjoyed fruit-infused beers at a local microbrewery...strawberry and cherry flavored beer definitely made the meal!my husband took me on a date last weekend and we enjoyed fruit-infused beer with our meal at a local microbrewery… strawberry and cherry flavored beer definitely made the meal!

Spring Greetings

It’s the little things in our home that make me proud to walk in the door. I have more recently begun to make sure I have something pretty hanging on my front door as a greeting.  I had seen this wreath posted several months ago {on Pinterest} in black, with Halloween-esque decorationso.  I decided I needed something simple that said *Spring* for the door, so I put this one together this weekend. Enjoy.

a wreath form and 2 spools of white tulle, cut the tulle into lenghts of approximately 14"

tie the pieces of tulle onto the form and slide them together… about 1/2 way through I stuck a few flowers into the form and tied extra pieces near them to cover the stems
