a place for everything

before… boxes of tea all over the pantry

tea organizer… $3.99 at Ikea

after

2-sided covered canvas laundry bin… $9.99 at Ikea

even sweatpants have their place!

if you have a child, you are bound to have toy-covered floors! the entertainment center has 4 woven baskets that hide his toys at the end of the day…

over-the-door hanging canvas pouches for hidden diaper storage

a friend’s baker’s rack for her Chicago apartment kitchen

nuts are always stored on the freezer (to extend their life) door in labeled containers

all my flours, oats, seeds, etc are stored in labeled glass canisters in the pantry

I’m a crazy person when it comes to ensuring my house is organized. I love finding new used for things, labeling storage, and coming up with new ways to bring life to existing organizers. Without knowing where everything belongs, how do you know where everything is???

Spring Greetings

It’s the little things in our home that make me proud to walk in the door. I have more recently begun to make sure I have something pretty hanging on my front door as a greeting.  I had seen this wreath posted several months ago {on Pinterest} in black, with Halloween-esque decorationso.  I decided I needed something simple that said *Spring* for the door, so I put this one together this weekend. Enjoy.

a wreath form and 2 spools of white tulle, cut the tulle into lenghts of approximately 14"

tie the pieces of tulle onto the form and slide them together… about 1/2 way through I stuck a few flowers into the form and tied extra pieces near them to cover the stems

my completed wreath for something 'Spring-y' on the front door

***simple yet seasonally sophisticated***
