My name is Lori {My name was easy learning to write as a child. Thanks mom&dad.} and this is my blog, SweatpantsandSuperfoods. I have a son {Dekker} who turned a year old on January 7th {2012}, 3 teenage stepsons and the most supportive, loving husband any woman could ask for. My husband was a professional kickboxer throughout the 80s and 90s. And when I started to train muay thai at a local gym, fate kicked me in the head&heart when he became my trainer. Needless to say, health and fitness are major parts of our lives, and we spend a lot of time ensuring we’re living our lives that way. I also have a 20lb Boston Terrier {Murphy} who thinks she’s 6’5″/280lbs and wants to stand up to any drooling beast she comes across on the sidewalk. But I spoil her to no end and let her sleep under the covers at night, much to the dismay of my husband
As a mom, I love {hold your breath!} sweatpants. But I still enjoy searching for my own style {I’ll let you know when I find it} and dressing for the occassion, which usually means a trip to the zoo. I am constantly researching healthy living, and incorporating superfoods and fitness into each day. I find delight in little touches (DIY projects, bits of style, decor) that make my home that much more enjoyable. I love to write, photograph everything that captures my interest, create healthy recipes, and make each day matter for my son. We spend a lot of the time laughing and playing because, well, that’s what you do with a toddler.
